U.S. Policy to Dominate Eurasia Censured
Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- The U.S. policy to dominate Eurasia is bound to go bankrupt as it is the one against independence, peace and history.

Rodong Sinmun Friday observes this in a signed article.

The article cites facts that the above-said policy of the U.S. that started in the mid-19th century got pronounced after it divided Korea into two parts and drew the demarcation line for the Cold War in Europe at the end of World War II and the policy has entered a full-fledged phase since the demise of the Cold War.

The article goes on:

The defeat of the U.S. imperialists in the Korean war in the 1950s shattered the myth of their "mightiness" and started them on the downgrade.

In the subsequent period the U.S. sustained a defeat in the Vietnam war, too, suffering disgrace and shame again in the eyes of the world.

The U.S. started wars in Afghanistan and Iraq in the new century and hastily declared "victory" in the wars but it still finds itself in an inescapable quagmire.

To make the matters worse, it is in the grip of unprecedented "financial crisis."

The U.S has become so weak politically, economically and militarily that it is hard for it to maintain its position as the world's "only superpower."

The end of the U.S. is not only expected but is becoming a reality.

It is the inevitability of history and a matter of time for the U.S. policy for dominating Eurasia to go bust.

The U.S. would be well advised to face up to the changed reality and roll back the above-said policy, urges the article.
