At least three Syrian Arab Army personnel were killed in the airstrikes, according to reports.
December 7 Reuters News

U.S.-led coalition airstrikes struck a Syrian Arab Army military compound in the province of Dier al Zor on Monday morning, killing a reported four soldiers and injuring 16 others, Reuters reports.

The news was originally announced by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, who reported that the airstrike hit the Saeqa military camp near the western town of Ayyash.

Syria’s foreign ministry later confirmed that Western coalition forces fired nine missiles at the camp.

"Syria strongly condemns the act of aggression by the US-led coalition that contradicts the UN Charter on goals and principles. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent letters to the UN Secretary General and the UN Security Council,” the foreign ministry told SANA.

It is the first time U.S-led coalition airstrikes have struck Syrian military targets since the conflict erupted in Mar. 2011, potentially opening up a new phase in the nearly five year conflict.

The attack comes as Syrian President Bashar al-Assad slammed Britain’s intervention into the Syrian conflict, branding the move “harmful” and “illegal” on Sunday.

Britain’s parliament voted to approve the bombing of Islamic State group targets on Wednesday, two years after Prime Minister David Cameron failed to win parliamentary support for intervention back in 2013.

Since the beginning of the Syrian conflict, the U.S., the U.K., France and their regional allies have sided with opposition groups against the government in Damascus, providing support to rebel groups including extremist ones.
