** Caring for Mother Earth

On Earth Day, the 22^nd of April 2014, the Afghan Peace Volunteers
picked up trash in the green patch on which they had planted trees last
year, as well as in a public park.
During that week, they also planted vegetables and started a food

** Bethnal Green to Brighton

Last week VCNV gave talks in Brighton and Hastings as well as co-
facilitating a workshop with a Muslim gender equality officer at a
predominantly Muslim secondary School in Bethnal Green. The workshop
with 6th formers looked at fundamentalism, Islamaphobia and gender
equality for Muslims, a lively discussion proceeded.
** On the Road to Ground the Drones

Maya Evans is at this moment in the US, joining friends who are on a
walk of witness about drones. Maya continues to give talks about the
current situation in Afghanistan and the use of UK armed drones. To read

** PN Summer Camp

This year there will be a workshop called 'Eyewitness Afghanistan' which
Susan Clarkson will give. It will be based on the life and work of the
